Slack Notifications

Authorize the Coana Notifications app

Go to Settings → Integrations (opens in a new tab) and click the "Connect to Slack" button.

A new window will open, asking you to authorize the Coana Notifications app to access your Slack workspace.

The requested permission is chat:write (opens in a new tab) which allow Coana to send messages to public channels in your workspace. The app will be able to list the available public channels, but it will not read any messages or access any other data in your workspace.

Select default Slack channel

Once the authorization has been completed, click the "Configuration" button or go to Settings → Notifications → Slack (opens in a new tab).

Here you can select a channel to which the Coana Notifications app will send notifications by default.

Alternatively you can leave the default channel unselected, and only select a channel for specific projects, see step 4 below.

Set up notification topics

When you select a default channel under Settings → Notifications → Slack (opens in a new tab), you should also select the topics for which you want to receive notifications.

✅ You are now set up to receive notifications in the selected channel for the selected topics for all projects.

Select Slack channel for specific projects

If you want to receive notifications for a specific project in a different channel than the default, you can do so from the project settings.

Here you can select a different channel and the topics for which you want to receive notifications for this specific project.
