The Slack Notifications app can be installed from the Integrations (opens in a new tab) page. The app sets up a webhook to the selected Slack channel and sends notifications to the channel when the selected topics are triggered.
We currently only support notifications to a single channel.
Go to Settings → Integrations (opens in a new tab) and click the "Add to Slack" button.
You will be redirected to the Slack app installation website. Select the channel you wish to receive notifications in and click "Allow".
You will be redirected back to Coana when the installation has completed.
Go to Settings → Notifications (opens in a new tab).
Make sure you select the "Slack" tab and select the topics for which you want to receive notifications in the selected Slack channel.
In order to change the channel the Slack Notifications app sends notifications to, you need to uninstall the app and install it again.
Not currently. Let us know if this is something you would like to see.
If the installation fails, you will end up on a blank page with an error message. Go back and try again. Should the installation fail repeatedly, please contact us and we will help you out.
Should you wish to uninstall the Slack Notifications app, you can do so from the Integrations (opens in a new tab) page.
- Click the "Configuration" button. This will open the Slack app configuration page on slack.com.
- Click the "Configuration" tab.
- Click the "Remove App" button.
We will not be notified if you revoke access to some channels but not all. This will break to the integration and you will not receive notifications, but it will still be listed as installed in Coana.
Should this happen to you, you will need to completely uninstall the app (with the "Remove App" button) and install it again.
